We've decided to combine our passions for fly fishing and wine in a unique way.

Hey, what better way to celebrate a good day's catch than with a bottle of wine?

Ever go to a store looking for a bottle of wine and get overwhelmed by the vast selection of inventory without a clue as to what's good and what isn't?......Us to!  We've decided to organize a social club for people like ourselves so that we can learn more in a fun way.   We'd like to socialize with other winos and try different wines to give us, and you, a better understanding of what's out there.  Sure, you can go to any local fine wineries and learn some things about wines...more specifically, their wines and get to try maybe 6 or so small samples for a fee.  We want more!

We'll be utilizing local businesses around the New Braunfels area to host our gatherings so that members of the club can come and try wines from around the world.  The gatherings will be held from 6:30-9:30p.m. one day a month and members will bring a bottle of wine to share with other club members.  Wine can be chosen from a list on the website that works like a registry, or you can bring a bottle of your choice that we would like to add it to our list.  At the gatherings, all the wine will be set up for everyone to get a glass and try it out. After each gathering we ask that you visit this site and rate the wine you tasted, adding any suggestions or comments, as well as likes and dislikes.

Members are also encouraged to suggest what foods go with what wines and so-forth, so the next time your having guest over for a BBQ, or whatever, you'll be able to log in and get some ideas of what wines to buy.

Join in on the fun as we prepare to embark a new social club open to anyone.  Our Wine and Fly Club will be setting up gatherings in and around the hill country for people interested in learning (drinking) different types of wines and also a little about fly fishing.
